Superlame Vintage, a secondhand store in Rexburg conducted its first $5 pile sale of the year on Saturday, April 29. Customers packed the store as the sales began at 11 a.m.
Ernie Lozano, a computer science major at BYU-Idaho and owner of Superlame Vintage, said that the shop has been conducting $5 pile sales since he and his brother, Ethan Lozano, opened Superlame Vintage in June 2021.
The business stockpiles stuff including t-shirts, sweaters, hats and other seasonal items. Superlame Vintage holds $5 pile sales twice a year, once in the spring or summer and once on Black Friday.
Ernie Lozano says that the $5 pile sales are a positive experience for the business and the neighborhood since he wants to provide the community with excellent bargains. It benefits the district, and many clothes that didn’t sell well at the store find a new home in the $5 pile.
Superlame Vintage will hold its second $5 pile sales next semester in the fall. It’s open Wednesday through Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. 4 p.m., located at 46 N 2nd E, next to State Farm Insurance.
