Idaho Fish and Game will hold a big game measuring day to crown champions in several hunting categories.

The event will be at the Fish and Game Southeast regional office in Pocatello on March 8. Participants can bring their items to the office March 7 by 5 p.m. Items must be picked up March 9 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Certified assessors will measure for champions in three different categories: Boone & Crocket (rifles and pistols), Pope & Young (archery) and Longhunter Society (muzzleloader). The assessments will be free.

In order to be considered, items must be free of flesh and skin and must have been air-dried for at least 60 days.

Fish and Game will require the following information at the time of drop-off:

— Hunter’s name

— Date of harvest

— Location of harvest, including big game unit, county and state

— Owner’s name, address and telephone number

— Guide’s name and address, if applicable
