On Saturday, May 20, BYU-Idaho will host a disciple leader conference in the John Taylor building at 10 a.m.
“The Disciple Leader Conference helps students to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ,” the school’s website says. “This semester’s conference builds leadership through an exploration of meekness as the defining attribute of our Redeemer.”
The theme of this year’s conference is “Meekness not Weakness,” inspired by the Book of Mormon verse, Mosiah 3:19.
The schedule for the conference is as follows:
— Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m.
— Opening Session: Discover Your Strengths from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Taylor Chapel.
— Leadership Activity and Workshops from 11:10 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. at the Hyrum Manwaring Student Center.
— Lunch and Closing Speaker from 12:10 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Manwaring Center in room 231 AB.
Tickets are available for $5 online and $6 at the door.
