BYU-Idaho showed the award-winning French and Danish film, Long Way North in the basement of the Jacob Spori building on Friday.
“I loved it,” said Emma Hibdon, an eventgoer. “The artistry and the animation, and the story, and the sound and the actual storyline … it was easy to follow.”
Hibson was not the only one who thought the movie was well-made.
According to IMDb, it has won two awards and eight nominations.
The movie played in French, its original language, with English subtitles. This seemed to add to the experience for many.
“We have had a lot of students on campus who like French-language films and Spanish-language films and things like that,” said Sam Nielson, campus faculty. “It gives us an opportunity to service those students.”
