The Fierce Fighting Championship — traditionally held in West Valley, Utah — is coming to Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls Saturday. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the fights starting at 5 p.m.

The main event features FFC defending champion Joel Haro, who will take on former UFC fighter Yazan “Yazzle Dazzle” Hajeh. They will compete in the bantamweight division.

Haro, of the U.S., is undefeated through four professional MMA fights. Hajeh, of Palestine, has a record of 6-2-0.

The co-main event sees Tsogookhuu Amarsanaa of Mongolia face Majdeddine Ayadi of France in the lightweight division.

Amarsanaa boasts a record of 9-3-0 while Ayadi sits at 11-4-0.

The championship will also host 11 amateur fights, including Rexburg’s own Spencer Woodland, who will fight Carson Newman.

FFC’s stated mission, according to its website, is to “encourage self defense, high-quality sportsmanship, fitness and nutrition, and engage in the fight against bullying across the Northwest.”

The FCC mission goes on to say that it aims to shift the perception of MMA from “backyard brawls and bar fights to experiencing top athletes fully connect with mind, body and spirit and go toe-to-toe in the cage.”

Tickets for the fight are available at Ticketmaster. Pay-per-view is available on the FFC website.
