Idaho Fish and Game will hold a public comment session to gather public opinion on new big game hunting proposals.
The proposals involve new seasons for deer, elk, pronghorns, black bears, wolves and mountain lions. Fish and Game expect details on proposals to be posted on its website within the next few days.
Rexburg’s session will take place Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Madison Middle School library. There will also be a session in Idaho Falls Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. at Idaho Falls High School and a session in Arco Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at Butte County Business Center.
Public comment will be open until Feb. 22 with additional public comment sessions taking place all across the state. Seasons will be finalized during the Fish and Game Commission meeting in Boise March 16.
Applications for big game hunts open May 1 and run until June 5.
